Hope we can hammer out some more details that will allow me to more concretely plan on how the building needs to be executed, size matters at this scale because of the tip-toeing around the prim limits of Second Life.
Right now my big question is how large we can make it, if we plan to put a useful space in the head we need to make it at least 25x25 (The Head at the widest), then we base the rest of the body on this proportion. The current mockup would look like a child next to the size required for this project. Mega Prims will not be to helpful because of the various sizes needed to create the proportions. Will require a complex meshing of one-off sculpties & normal prims to create the structure.
I think this requires multiple stage mocks, small scale reference mock, and a production sized mock (For both the robot, and different areas within it for flow) that can be used as reference while others work on the integrated tech, and I tackle the production model. This is a modified work flow that I have used on region designs that has yet to let me down.
